Executive Director June 2020-Present
Dr. Truax became the Executive Director of the Office of School Counseling and Postsecondary Advising (OSCPA) in June of 2020. Situated within the Office of College and Career Success, OSCPA includes fifty+ team members. Under her leadership, OSCPA provides professional development, programming, and data-informed strategy-driven initiatives for the 600+ schools and more than 320,000 students of CPS. The scope of OSCPA includes five major work streams: Multi-Domain Systems of Supports, Postsecondary Strategic Equity Interventions, Persistence for Alumni Success & Scholarships, Financial Aid & College Technical Support, and Non-college, Enlistment, eXperience, & Trades (NEXT).

In 2021, the OSCPA team was honored to earn the Power of Hope Award from the National Postsecondary Strategy Institute in partnership with previous First Lady Michelle Obama's Reach Higher organization. This award honors school districts who demonstrate effectiveness in postsecondary outcomes for students by empowering school counselors.
